The amount of effort put into this piece really shows! It checked all the boxes: likeness was there; the balance between animal/human was great, Chris shared his progress from early on all the way to the finished line; the piece is inviting and there are many disciplines presented here. Not sure if there's a whole lot I can teach him after seeing this piece, but he just got the gold ticket because it was really hard for me to not give him the main prize after this gigantic effort. Congratulations and I see you at the March 2020 LIVE class!

Awesome piece! The likeness was very good from the start and I love the animal picked. It was the perfect match. The mix was well balanced, the expression is great and the assymetrical pose really gave life to the character. Steferson shared his progress with his fellow artists and overall did a phenomenal job, especially detailing the body with exquisite detail. Well done man and Congratulations on winning one of my online courses of your choice!

What I like about this is how far the animal characteristics were pushed. Yet, Guillermo is still recognizable somehow. Great, great piece. One of my top favorites!

Andrew Chen

This piece had tremendous potential from the get go! The actor's likeness was pretty spot on. Unfortunately the way the elements were mixed at the end ended up compromising the likeness instead of propelling it to an even greater piece. Amazing work and effort none the less!

Oliver Jm

This was another great piece and one of my top picks. I love the animal and human ratios, making both absolutely recognizable. Really great work.

Kuntal Sarkar

This was a great piece! The sculpture was really good and the likeness was there as well. Unfortunately the final expression and color choice ended up hiding most of the details and making him look a little angry at the end as well. But this piece is great, reason why it got shortlisted!

Otto Art

I love the animal combination here! Both person and animal are instantly recognizable and the whole concept is really cool. The model could be pushed further, but what's there is solid!

Neven Galunić

I love this piece. Great attention was put into balancing human and animal elements. The sculpture is pretty solid. The final composition and pose picked left a little to desire. Great work none the less!

Surasit Chandhrathip

This is a great piece. I particularly like the side view the best. That's the one where the likeness works the best. It also adds some age to him. From other angles he looks too jovial, not a trademark of the man himself. A great effort, for sure!
